Overview
Pylon Pro is a flexible database engine that takes on the look and feel of
the custom Lotus Notes databases with which it is synchronized. Each
custom database on your device represents only one View from the
Lotus Notes custom database to which you are syncing. To sync multiple
Views from the same database, you create a separate filter for each View,
which then appears as a separate database on your Pocket PC OS
device. For information on configuring Pylon Pro to sync custom
databases, see CHAPTER 7., “Syncing custom databases”
It is beyond the scope of this guide to describe exactly what your Pylon
Pro application will look like on the device. That will depend upon how
you design your custom databases to look.
For information about creating custom Lotus Notes databases that are
optimized for viewing on a Pocket PC OS device, see “Creating device-
friendly Notes databases” (page 201).
For information about creating databases that take advantage of the
Pylon Pro Lookup feature, see “Implementing on-device database
lookups” (page 209).
